Hello, girls!
I'm Clara, from Scrapitisores, and I'm stopping by the blog again to talk to you about the Life in a Journal kit
Until now I have always used the Journal as a format to scrape easily and quickly. A place to save photos that tell a special moment of the quarter or even to document photos that you had saved. Therefore, it did not follow a theme or document a specific period of time.
This quarter I decided to change that and use the journal to document photos from just one day, my birthday!
I always celebrate with another friend and we organize a little more special plan. My friends and I take a lot of photos (more so now that we're starting to have little ones in the group), and we also have a photographer friend who brought the camera. You can imagine the number of photos that can come out in a single day. Although I managed to include some of them in the PL, I was a little sad to think that those cool photos were going to remain unscraped, so I decided to dedicate the entire journal to them and save them in a special place.
And, how have I organized myself for it?
- To start, I have thoroughly reviewed all the material that came in the kit. Some pages of the journal already have designs that invite us to put the photos or the journal in a certain place and I like to pay close attention to the shapes that are repeated between the decorations in case they inspire me to play with the photos in one way or another.
- When I have limited space to store a lot of photos and I also think about printing photos in different sizes and formats, having a notebook on hand always comes in handy. In it I make very simple diagrams of which photos I want to use in each of them and if I want to print them in a certain way.
- Having this extra work done helps me a lot when it comes to printing the photos, since I simply have to sit down for a while and assemble the photographs in the intended sizes and formats. That way I also make better use of the entire A4 sheet I print on.
I leave you the video where I explain all this and show you one of the pages. Enjoy the kits very much and see you on Instagram with more pages of the journal.
